Westbury CC is a club set in the middle of a small community in Gloucestershire, South West England. We have a first XI,second XI, Sunday Team and Wednesday Team, all of which play in local leagues with varying degrees of success including consecutive promotions for the first XI.

In 2002 we celebrated 50 years of cricket in Westbury and are looking foward to (hopefully!) many more. With this site you can find the latest information about Westbury and also search through our archives and look at the statistics for our previous seasons. As time goes on we are planning to expand this statistics section so keep checking back for more in depth information.

2009 Race Night - 31st October 2009

The evening will start at 7pm with the first race at 7.15pm. Tickets cost £3 per person or £20 for a table of 8 guests. Please contact Ian Dunn, Neil Wyman, Peter Wyman or Gary Morgan for tickets There will be 8 races and if you would like to help us by sponsoring a race these are for sale at £25 per race. The race sponsors will be published prior to their race during the evening and will receive 2 free tickets to the evening. If you would like to help we would be delighted to hear from you. All of the money we raise goes back into the club and into projects that benefit and make our cricketing environment more enjoyable. Without the fundraising in the past couple of seasons we would not have a new net surface, a mobile net, an improved patio area with picket fence to watch the game from, 2 new sightscreens or a catching net. We have more projects in the pipeline.

2010 Tour - 8th to 10th August 2010

Dear Potential Tourist Detailed below is the proposed itinerary for Next year's Leicester tour. The First proposal is the same format as 2009. cost will be approx £105 Second proposal is as 2009 with additional third fixture on the Tuesday (Additional cost !). Third as 2009 with better hotel additional cost £50 per person anticipated.. To enable us to maintain this excellent value we must book the Travelodge rooms early, when they are gone the cost will increase dramatically. Travelodge rooms at cheap rates have been offered at the end of December in previous Years, I have paid for the rooms in the past and then been reimbursed in the August this will NOT happen in 2010. There are three options for 2010: Pay deposit by mid December get cheap rooms and keep the cost of the tour low. Delay deposit until 2010 and pay more (Could be as much as £30 each more) No deposits No Tour! Your deposits will be non refundable after the rooms have been booked. I propose two cut off dates: One for cheap rooms - 19th December2009 , if enough deposits are received to make a team then I will reserve rooms for those people, People paying after that date will pay more! Based on the new room rate at the time of booking. Tour cancellation . 31st March 2010, if we have not received enough deposits to make a team for tour by this date then the tour will not go ahead. We will require a deposit of £30 from each tourist by 19th December 2009. Final payment will be due by end of June 2010 latest. Fundraising

As you are probably aware, the club is in constant need of funds to improve facilities. A fundraising committee is in place to coordinate things and but any further help would be greatly appreciated. Events for this coming season will include a quiz and a racenight, so keep returning to this site for details. We also run a bonus ball competition each week of the season and for just £1 you can have the opportunity to win £24. Just ask at the bar for further details. Don't forget, you can also play fantasy cricket, where you can not only win a £25 cash prize, but also bragging rights in the bar for 12 months!
